Anastasia Cajigal (she/her) is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Associate for the HIV/STI/Viral Hepatitis Section at the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH). Prior to joining TDH in 2022, she worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer with the University of Michigan’s Adolescent Health Initiative to create best practice resources for adolescent health, particularly opioid use. Anastasia is a two-time graduate from Washington University in St. Louis with her Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Art in Anthropology (Global Health and Environment). She is Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Currently, she is participating in the CDC Public Health Associate two-year training program working on HIV and Viral Hepatitis prevention activities.
